Your Failures Do Not Define You

2 years ago I had to walk away from the gym that was my second home, and had been for 13 years. Less than 3 months months after that I was walking away from a shared studio that suited neither of us. Lockdown brought my business to the brink. Covid still means I haven’t returned to the gym.

And you know what? I’m perfectly fine with that, because each failure is an opportunity. The chance to learn, grow, and strive for better. Which reminds me of one of my favourite quotes:

“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Michael Jordan

So get up, get out there, and succeed.
