Start With Why
It has taken a while to get back in the zone of writing. I have a dozen or more pieces that are ‘almost ‘ ready (which means they are ready, I just haven’t yet got over the fear of no-one reading them, so no-one has read them. hmm…)
Having just started reading Simon Sineks ‘Start With Why” I am consciously trying to understand why I do the things I do. You can watch a great TEDx video here. It was an email from Skoda this morning that gave me the additional insight I needed. Anya is my why. I am a father who wants his daughter to grow up to be amazing, to develop and grow into a determined, laser-focused woman who is inspired to follow her own path, make her own mistakes, and come through it all as an even better person whilst smiling all the way.
So why am I telling you this? Because by sharing what I do I can show you that YOU CAN DO IT too. I don’t mean that you can all be a great Milton Keynes personal trainer, but you can all make the changes necessary to have a better life. You don’t have to live with back and shoulder aches. You don’t have to give up on ever being as active as you want to be. There is a solution.
But it goes deeper than that. Of course I want you to feel better, be healthier, be stronger, but I also want to help you be a better version of yourself. And that Starts With Why.
Watch the video, buy the book if you want to (click on the link below to purchase and I get a couple of pence towards Anya’s college fund), and spend a few minutes pondering WHY. I would love to know your thoughts, so let me know.
